THIS IS HOW ESBE USE COOKIES
WHAT ARE COOKIES AND HOW DO THEY WORK?
Cookies are small text files created by the websites you visit and that are sent to your browser and saved on your computer. There are two types of cookie, both of which are used by websites operated by ESBE AB and its subsidiaries. A session cookie is stored temporarily on your device while you are visiting our website. These are erased when you close your browser or after a given period of time (when the session ends). Non-session cookies are stored on your computer to allow the website to remember information about your visit, such as your preferred language and other settings. This makes your next visit easier and the website more user friendly.
MARKETING COOKIES
We use cookies to adapt content and advertisements to users and to analyse our traffic. We forward data about your use of our website to those advertising and analysis companies we collaborate with. These companies may in turn combine this data with other data you have provided or that they have collected when you have used their services. These cookies do not reveal any personal information on our visitors, for example names, contact details, income, etc. Learn more about the cookies used by Google here.
GOOGLE ANALYTICS
We use Google Analytics advertising functions:
- Remarketing with Google Analytics
- Display reports for Google Display Network
- Integrated services that require Google Analytics to collect data for advertising purposes via advertising cookies and anonymous identifiers.
The data generated is normally sent to and stored on a Google server in the United States. In the EU/EEA, Google will abbreviate your IP address using IP anonymization although in the US it will only be abbreviated under exceptional circumstances. The IP address sent from your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be combined with other Google data.
GOOGLE Ads
We use Google Ads and other platforms to advertise online. Remarketing code uses cookies stored on your computer to display advertisements relevant to you based on which sections of the website you have visited. By using Google Ads, we are able to tailor our marketing so that it is more relevant to you as a visitor to our site. We follow Google’s guidelines for personalized advertisements, which you can learn more about here.
Facebook Pixel
We use Facebook Pixel and other platforms to advertise online. Pixel code uses cookies stored on your computer to display advertisements relevant to you based on which sections of the website you have visited. By using Facebook Pixel, we are able to tailor our marketing so that it is more relevant to you as a visitor to our site on Facebook and Instagram. We follow Facebook’s guidelines for personalized advertisements, which you can learn more about here.
THIRD-PARTY COOKIES
The system also includes third.party cookies. We do not have any control over these; as a visitor to our site you will need to contact the third party in question for information about their cookies. Our website contains third-part services that may create cookies from:
- YouTube – for loading videos, where YouTube’s video player may create cookies (https://www.youtube.com/)
HOW DO I TURN OFF COOKIES?
If you do not wish to have cookies stored on your device, you can turn off the function in your browser settings. You will still be able to use the service if you block cookies, although you risk losing out on both functionality and a good user experience. You can also choose to delete any cookies stored on your device. Different browsers use different methods to inactivate cookies; refer to the Help function on your own browser for more information.
If you do not want Google Analytics to collect data, you can prevent this by using the Google Analytics opt-out add-on (Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout/).
